Kirka Computer & Gaming Glasses Review

This review is all about the Kirka Computer & Gaming Glasses. Do you want to know if this glasses can prevent the blue light from harming the eyes? Are you curious if it can help minimize eye strain and other related issues? Well, I suggest that you read this review in order to learn more about it.

Product Overview

Product: Kirka Computer & Gaming Glasses

Cheapest Place to Buy:

Unique Feature: Anti-Fatigue; Anti UV; Anti- Glare

My Rating: 9.7 out of 10

Kirka glasses are made from top quality acetate frame. It comes in six available colors: grey, green, blue, violet, red, and brown.

The frames are translucent with streaks or layers between the upper and lower half of the rim. The ones that are colored grey and green have transparent lower half.

The arms, considered to belong to the upper half of the frame, has the color of choice, not transparent nor light.

The frame is wayfarer in style without any modification. It spans 136 mm (5.35 in) from temple to temple with a bridge having a width of 15 mm (0.59 in). This nose bridge is lined extending from the glasses’ rim. The temples are connected to the arms via spring hinges protected by a piece of metal.

There is a piece of metal enclosed by the acetate frame for the arms. The arms lengthen up to 140 mm (5.51 in).

Kirka have aspheric lenses. The frame defines the shape and dimensions of the lenses. To elaborate, the lenses are 53 mm (2.09 in) wide and 36 mm (1.42 in) tall.

The lenses of these Kirka glasses are capable of providing “superior or premium blue light blocking” property. No other properties are declared.

Kirka has not mentioned if their glasses are Rx- or prescription-ready. Yet, it is sure that there are models of these glasses without magnification.

The glasses come with a soft cleaning cloth and a hard case. The cleaning cloth effectively wipes the stain and foreign agents without scratching the glasses’ surface.

Meanwhile, the hard case prevents external factors from contaminating the product. It also reduces the probability of breakage due to impact and pressure.

Acetate frame has almost the same properties as plastic frame. Both materials are classified as polymers. In general, polymers are lightweight, elastic, and resistant to corrosion brought by oxidation.

Both materials are hypoallergenic and non-toxic, provided that the additives or dyes also are.

An advantage of using acetate over plastic is the vibrancy of colors and intricacy of design that the manufacturer can make.

The alternating streaks and lines accentuating the middle of the rims can’t be made using ordinary plastic. In addition, the glossy and translucent finish of the material is brought by acetate.

Additional features found in the frame is the metal support for the arms and its spring hinges. Since the frame is translucent, a metal support can be seen through the arms. This makes the arms more durable than being mere acetate all throughout.

Meanwhile, the spring loaded in the hinges act as a shock and impact absorber. It helps the temples from being tight around, as well as being adjustable according to, the size of the user’s head.

There is also a metal support that protects the hinges. Overall, it can be concluded that Kirka’s frames are durable.

On the other hand, there is not much features for Kirka’s lenses aside from its blue light blocking property. Although declared, there is no direct evidence as shown in scientific studies that proves the efficiency of blocking.

Though, there is a CE symbol (Conformité Européene – certification of European conformity) printed on the inside of one arm, it is unknown if it pertains to the frame or the lenses. The CE is important for it confirms that product has passed the essential requirements stated by the European Union (EU) regarding environmental, safety, and health.

These Kirka glasses are also registered to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If the whole assembly is registered to both regulating bodies, it proves the durability, non-toxicity, and the efficiency of blocking harmful blue light.

With harmful blue light blocked, the eyes could rest from fatigue, soreness, redness, itching, irritation, dryness, headaches, dizziness, and lack of sleep.

This product can be worn especially in front of radiation-emitting devices such as laptops, desktops, tablets, cellular phones, television screens, and even fluorescent lights.

The downside of Kirka lenses is the lack of its anti-reflection (AR) property. This is evident in the blue to green metallic sheen found on the surface of the glasses.

Kirka Computer & Gaming Glasses Review

Kirka glasses are offered at a reasonable price. As of my latest research, the price range is between $18 – $20. It is undeniable that having a computer glasses is important to prevent eye related issues. This also helps in increasing your working hours in front of digital devices.

The sale makes the product affordable for common people. This is already a great deal with lifetime breakage warranty and 30-day money-back guarantee.

Helpful Tips

Like I always say on my reviews, it is always important to take care of your glasses in order to keep it for a longer period of time. So here are some helpful tips that you can follow.

  • Always keep the glasses inside the protective case. This will minimize dust and oil on the lenses.
  • Don’t use any other rough material in cleaning the lenses. Only use the provided fiber cloth to prevent scratches.

Bottom Line

Kirka computer glasses is worthy for its price. It has a quality frame with unique design. Having acetate as the material of the frame allows eye-catching colors come at play.

The design and style is still classic and transcends any gender, age, or social status. The lenses block blue light and passed the US FDA and EU requirements to safety and health. There may be better products than this one but the deal is great today. This product is recommended to be bought by family and friends.

Hi Everyone! I created this website to share my thoughts about the solutions to various eye problems that are caused by too much staring at digital screens. I also tackle about preventive measures to minimize the harmful effects of UV rays.

  1. Thank you for this review. I am not a gamer, but I do spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen. I do notice that over time my eyes get very dry and it seems my eye sight is slowly getting worse.

What’s your opinion on using these glasses with a computer monitor? And do you think it will slow down the strain it produces for your eyes?

Nice article, it makes me wonder what percentage of people spend 8 hours or more a day in front of a tv screen.

    Thanks for the info.

    1. Personally, I use computer glasses everyday. It is because I am in front of the computer for 8 hours a day. It certainly helped me go through with the day without getting any head aches and eye fatigue. But then I still suggest that you take frequent breaks in order to maximize the results of this protective eyewear.
